Amondo Redmond proudly hails from Flint, Michigan, and graduated from Beecher High School where he was President of the student body for three consecutive years (a first and unbroken tenure), graduated top 10- earning a full academic scholarship to MSU. Redmond was a member of the school band where he was also lead drum major for three consecutive years. Redmond was a member of the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Flint Violence Prevention Collaborative helping to spearhead millions back into the city initiatives. Redmond was Recognized by: the US Congress (Dale Kildee), the Michigan House of Representatives (Vera Rison), and the City of Flint Mayor (Woodrow Stanley)- the latter proclaiming June 20, 1998 “Amondo Redmond Day” in the city of Flint. USA Today recognized him as one of America’s top 5 students in its weekly React magazine in May 1998.

Amondo Redmond holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Michigan State University. While attending, he served three consecutive years as student Chairman of the University MLK committee through the office of the Provost (a first and unbroken tenure). Redmond received several high honors while attending including the Outstanding University Diversity Award, the Chuck Kaplan Award, and the MSU Black Alumni Scholarship (the latter three consecutive years). Redmond is an active mentor, guest speaker, and financial contributor to students within the MSU Broad College of Business and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Amondo Redmond began his career as a marketer at the age of 16 as a marketing intern for the NBA Detroit Pistons. While attending MSU, he interned consecutively for the New York Knicks, Sony Music, and The Coca-Cola Company (the latter receiving a UNCF Coca-Cola Scholarship for two consecutive years).
